Marjorie B. Schenkel MARJORIE B. SCHENKEL, 90, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, at Dupont Hospital. A lifelong resident of Fort Wayne, she retired from Montgomery Wards, in 1971 after nine years of service in the catalogue dept. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church. Surviving are son, David (Sharon) Schenkel of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Katrina (Dereck) Nichols and Theresa (Brent) Schlegel, both of Fort Wayne; and grandson, Benjamen Schenkel of Fort Wayne; and one great-granddaughter, Isabella Nichols. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Schenkel, in 1992. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Saturday at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 1515 Barthold. Fr. William Lester officiating. Prayer is 9:40 a.m. Saturday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 Wells St. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Precious Blood Catholic Church or Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church. |
