Louise Giesy

Louise Laver Giesy, formerly of Parma Hts and Pleasantville, passed away on July 8, 2004, after a short illness at age 98.

She was the daughter of the late Edna Knight Laver and Guy Laver; beloved wife of the late Pearl M. Giesy; beloved mother of Darlene Calaway, Marcia Lape and the late Eileen Simmerer; cherished grandmother of Alida Peters, David Calaway, Debra Lackowski, Doug Lape, Richard Simmerer, Jr., Robert Lape, Robbin Kusoski and Wallis Calaway Jr.; and great-grandmother of Michael (Karen) Calaway, Peter Calaway, Jacob Calaway, Brenton Calaway, Renae Simmerer, Robert Simmerer, Rachel Simmerer, Colleen Kusoski, Caroline Kusoski, Miranda Peters, Kyle Peters and Perry Lackowski; sister of Donald Laver and the late Carroll Laver and Doris Ruffner.

She was born Dec. 3, 1905, in Delaware, Ohio. Louise is remembered for her kind spirit and artistry of her knitting and crocheting.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Busch Funeral Home, 7501 Ridge Road, Parma. Service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at St. Michael's Church, 2495 Bickel Church Rd., Baltimore, with services to follow at the church. Interment will be at Union Evangelical Cemetery, Snyder Church Road, Baltimore.
