Last week Urban Retreat was jumping at the kickoff party for the April 23 Cerebral Palsy of Greater Houston fund-raiser, a luncheon at the Hyatt Regency. It will honor Granada's Linda Eller as "Businesswoman of the Year," and Ron Stone will emcee. Most people don't know that Linda met husband David Eller when she was corporate controller and financial officer at David's Granada Corp. They married in 1980, and David said her quickness with numbers and her drive for the company were what caught his eye at first. Linda's not as involved with Granada these days. She's opened a small real-estate office and is a tireless charity volunteer. She also has a great sense of humor - nobody sleeps at a party Linda attends ... |
