PRESENTATIONS: Presentations will be limited to 30 minutes with a handout requested. The handouts that accompanied some of the presentations at Conf II were much appreciated. There have been requests for more handouts. If you would like to speak of an individual or a family line, would you please send a copy of your talk to be xeroxed and included in the Conference packet. The handout helps the audience follow your speech, understand how the subject fits in the family structure, and is retained for reference. You may include xerox copies of photos, old documents or anything pertinent.

If it is difficult to type your handout, please send to Charlotte by May 15. It will be typed and returned to you for final additions or corrections, before being xeroxed for the Conference packets. Please be prompt with sending written copy. I will be very busy the last month before conference and would like to have all typing out of the way by June 15. Thanks!

Eller Chronicles Vol. VII (1) Feb. 1993

At this time we have nothing planned for Friday, July 16, at the Holiday Inn. If you wish to remain at the motel that day, or would like help planning a shorter excursion about Portland that day please write or call.
Most of you know EFA has to guarantee a number of meal reservations each day to have the use of the large conference rooms without the $200.00 daily charge. It will be helpful if you can return this form along with payment by June 1, 1993. You may send $25.00 per person and pay the balance when you register for the conference in Portland. The registration process will be much quicker and easier if we know who is coming and which days they plan to attend the conference.
Conference packets will be made up ahead of time for all those who register before July 14. These packets will contain your meal tickets, conference button, name tag and any information we receive on the presentations, along with any pertinent information or instructions that arise between the May issue of Eller Chronicles and July 14. We feel this conference will be well attended, so it might be wise to send a letter with number in party, names (including children), and days of attendance even though you do not plan to pay until you arrive. You might reduce the time spent standing in line to register if most packets are prepared ahead of time.
Of course, this does not mean you cannot walk in at the last minute and be WELCOME. There are some who can not make plans that far in advance. So - if you hear of the Eller Conference 3 days before it opens, do not feel you can't come. ALL ELLERS AND RELATIONS (or interested genealogists) ARE WELCOME. Anytime! If you have relatives who are not members of EFA, or know of anyone who wishes to attend ELLER CONFERENCE III, please make copies of the registration form for them. If you wish to send names to me I will send a package of conference information to them. I look forward to hearing from anyone who would like to come to the conference, make a presentation of Eller history or genealogy, or just wants to inquire about the ELLER FAMILY ASSOCIATION. If you have any questions, ideas or comments please write: Charlotte Eller Marshall; 2832 Highway 201; Nyssa, OR 97913 - 503-372-5428
