by.
Herman E. Eller, 220 N. Broadway, Skiatook, OK 74070

FOURTH GENERATION

1. William4 "Bill" Eller was born in 1816 in Buncombe Co., NC. He died after 1900.
1. William4 "Bill" Eller (Savannah3, Jacob Jr.2, Jacob, Sr.1) Other brothers in the north Georgia area were Joseph who m. Mariah Hedden, Jacob and George. He was reared in North Georgia in either Rabun or Towns Counties, and later lived in Union County, Georgia where his first seven children were born. His last two children were born in Towns County, Georgia where he may have been living at his death which occurred after 1900. His wife was Martha A. (Unknown).

I had several conversations with John Lester Eller about his grandfather "Bill" Eller. He said William "Bill" Eller owned and operated a grist mill in the upper High Tower Community near Hiawassee, Georgia. He talked about several people there so I became interested and have made two trips back there last year. We met lots of Ellers and I enjoyed visiting with them. To my knowledge William Eller had 9 children. My grandfather Davis B. Eller was the last child. I also knew his brother, John C. Eller. He and Davis B. Eller married sisters, Harriett Louisa and Salina Magdaline Maney respectively. I understand the Maneys were Cherokee Indians. I'm sending you a copy where my grandfather was petitioning for his children to be enrolled as Cherokee citizens.
