DAVID PARRY (son of Thomas and Ann Parry)

C 1812 - He was born in Llanfair-ar-y-bryn, near Llandovery, Carmarthenshire (see 1851 census).
16 October 1812 - He was baptised in the Independent Chapel at Llanfairarybryn (see register).
4 December 1840 - When he married Elizabeth Morgans at the Independent Chapel, Pentre-ty-gwyn near Llandovery, (see below) he was a labourer, of full age, and living at Pantycelyn, Llanfairarybryn.The name of his father was NOT shown on the marriage certificate.

6 June 1841 - He was an agricultural labourer aged 25 (rounded down) living in Pentretygwin with (his wife) Elizabeth (see 1841 census).
7 September 1841 - he was a labourer living at Coledge, Llanfair ar y bryn when he registered the birth of his son David. He made his mark in the register (DP's birth certificate).
C 1844/45 - Their son Jenkin was born in Llanfair-ar-y-bryn (see 1851 census).
30 March 1851 - an extract from the census for Pentretygwyn, Llanfair-ar-y-bryn shows: -

7 April 1861 - He was an agricultural labourer aged 49 living with his wife Elizabeth, their son Jenkin and Elizabeth Rees a lodger and a pauper aged 51 in Pentre ty gwyn, Llanfairarybryn (see 1861 census).
2 April 1871 - He was a labourer aged 58 living in Rhandirissa, Llanfairarybryn with his wife Elizabeth (see 1871 census).
16 January 1875 - He was a labourer, aged 65, when he died, cause unknown, at Pentre-ty-gwyn, Rhandir Irsa, Carmarthenshire. His death was reported to the Registrar by David Parry, "who caused the body to be buried", and who made his mark in the register (death certificate). He was buried in the cemetery attached to the Independent Chapel in Pentre-ty-gwyn. NB the headstone shows that he died on 15 January 1875 (see below for the extract from his headstone).

In memory of Elizabeth , wife of David Parry of this parish who died May 12th 1873 aged 60 years.

Also of two children who died in infancy.

Also of the aforementioned David Parry who died January 15th 1875 aged 63.

ELIZABETH PARRY (NÉE MORGANS) (possibly daughter of William and Joan Morgan)

C 1813 - She was born in the parish of Cynwyl Gaeo (Conwil Caio), near Llandovery, Carmarthenshire (1851 census transcription).

14 April 1814 - She was POSSIBLY baptised in the Independent Chapel, Pentre-ty-gwyn, Carmarthenshire - daughter of William and Joan MORGAN (see register).
4 December 1840 - She was a spinster of full age living at Gillyguigrith, Llanfairarybrynwhen when she married David Parry in the Independent Chapel, Pentretygwyn near Llandovery, Carmarthenshire. The name of her father was NOT shown on the marriage certificate.
6 June 1841 - Aged 25 (rounded down), she was living in Pentretygwin with (her husband) David. She was shown as not being born within the county (see 1841 census).
30 March 1851 - See the extract from the 1851 census under David Parry above.
7 April 1861 - Aged 48, she was living with her husband David, their son Jenkin and Elizabeth Rees a lodger and a pauper aged 51 in Pentre ty gwyn, Llanfairarybryn (see 1861 census).
2 April 1871 - She was a labourer's wife aged 58 living in Rhandirissa, Llanfairarybryn with her husband David (see 1871 census).
12 May 1873 - She was aged 61 when she died of old age at Pentre-ty-gwyn, Rhandir Issa (death certificate).
13 May 1873 - William Jones, who had been present at her death, notified the registrar (death certificate).
She was buried in the cemetery attached to the Independent Chapel at Pentre-ty-gwyn. Her age was shown as 60 (see extract from her headstone).

JANE PARRY (daughter of Thomas and Ann Parry)

27 February 1815 - She was from Rhyduns (?) when she was baptised in the Independent chapel at Pentretygwyn, Llanfairarybryn (see register).

JOHN PARRY (son of Thomas and Ann Parry)

30 October 1817 - He was born (see register).
3 November 1817 - He was baptised in the Independent chapel at Pentretygwyn, Llanfairarybryn (see register).
21 February 1837 - He was from Rhandir Ucha when he was buried aged 19 at Llanfair-ar-y-bryn parish church (see parish register).

SARA PARRY (daughter of Thomas and Ann Parry)

28 April 1821 - She was baptised in the Independent chapel at Pentretygwyn, Llanfairarybryn (see register).

THOMAS PARRY (son of Thomas and Anne Parry)

23 April 1824 - He was born (see register).
10 May 1824 - He was baptised in the Independent chapel at Pentretygwyn, Llanfairarybryn (see register).
4 May 1827 - A Thomas Parry aged 3 of Nanty Llyndir was buried at Llanfair ar y Bryn parish church (see parish register).
