6 June 1841 - He was an agricultural labourer aged 65 living in South Pool with (his wife) Elizabeth and (their children) John, a longshoreman aged 20 (rounded), Charlotte and Jane, both aged 15 (rounded), Frances aged 13, and another aged 5 (see 1841 census).
5 July 1848 - He was a gardener when (his daughter) Frances registered the death of his wife Elizabeth (ES’s death certificate).
30 March 1851 - He was a gardener and a widower aged 76 living at Under Cliff, South Pool, with his unmarried daughters Susanna, aged 38, a housekeeper, and Jane, aged 25, a dressmaker, as well as a lodger Benjamin (?) (see 1851 census).
23 September 1859 - He was from South Pool when he was buried aged 84 at South Pool parish church (see parish register).

ELIZABETH SPLATT (NÉE STEADWORTHY) (daughter of John and Mary Steadworthy)
