The text shown in bold indicates the number of markers tested and the differences found. The numbers (1-37) indicates the range of markers from and the value that follows is the DYS#/value for that individual for the 37-Marker test. Anyone with a 67-Marker test had the added differences shown as (38-67)DYS#/value.

How many to Test

The question that arises is how many members need to be tested to prove that the two lines of Johann/John and Herman are from the same common ancestor? Since one member has been tested from John's line if one from Herman's line is tested and the results are identical then more testing of other members will not add anything to the pool of data. However, if the results are different by 1 or more then more tests are required from each branch to determine if the correct profile has been obtained for that line. If one uses the Johann/John branch then the possible candidates are very limited as Walter Krause had no known male descendants and Carl Krause had two sons, Edwin and Albert, either my son, or Steven Allen Krause, son of Charles Albert or their male descendants are the only males that could be tested on this line. On Herman's line the possibilities are numerous and will need to be followed up if and when testing is done on this branch.
