Some of these family line surnames are arbitrarily given by me, as people had no surnames as such, much before about the year 1200. Most are based on geographic location but some are merely the name of the original male of the line. Occasionally I have used the name of someone famous in the line.
These family lines flow from past to present. One branch or male family line leads to
another as the name changes through the marriage of a daughter.
For example, you will be
directed by links from the Dyer line, through Card, then Wilcox, to Saunders and then to Barbé to get to
our grandchildren.
