Obituary of James I. Werner

This is the obituary for my gg-uncle by marriage, James I. Werner.

James I. Werner, 77, of Port Neches died Friday at Park Place Hospital.

He was born in Jeanerette, La., and was a Port Arthur-Port Neches area resident for 65 years. He retired from Gulf Oil, where he worked as an operator with 46 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Nederland and Cosmopolitan Lodge No. 82.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Nederland with the Rev. Paul Leath and the Rev. James Stroud officiating. Burial will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, directed by Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.

Survivors include his wife, Joicey Lee; three daughters, Mildred Belcher of Amarillo, Jo Anna Cousins of Port Neches and Arline Poland of Beaumont; two sons, Wallace F. Werner and Randy L. Werner, both of Port Neches; a sister, Beulah Daigle of Texas City; three brothers, William Werner of Groves, Wibert Werner of Port Neches and Clifford Werner of Port Arthur; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
