In the Name of God Amen I Matthew Alefounder of Weely in the County of Essex Farmer do make this my last Will and Testament, And in the first place I most humbly commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God hoping to obtain the pardon of all my Sins through the Merits and Satisfaction of Jesus Christ my blessed Saviour and Redeemer Item I give and bequeath unto my Sister Bridgett Owgham one Shilling Item I give and bequeath unto my Brother Thomas Alefounder all the houses and lands both copy and free where I now liveth unto him and his heirs for ever Item I give and bequeath unto my said brother Thomas Alefounder All my Moneys and all my Goods and Stock both within doors and without after my just Debts and Legacy and funeral Charges be paid Item I do hereby nominate ordain and appoint my said Brother Thomas Alefounder to be my sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament for this Intent and Purpose that he pay all my just Debts Legacy and funeral Charges and I do now revoke and hereby disannul and make void all Wills by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this Seventh day of November in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eighteen, The Words both copy and free was written in the Margent before the signing of this my Will The marke W of Mathew Alefounder Signed sealed published and declared to be the last Will and testament of the above named Mathew Alefounder in the presence of John Larrel John Cockerall Senor Mary Cockerell.

On the fifth Day of July in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and forty five Issued forth a Comn to Mary the Wife of Samuel Day the Relict sole Executrix and residuary legatee named in the last Will and Testament of Thomas Alefounder, whilst living the natural and lawful Brother sole Executor and principal Legatee named in the last Will and Testamt. of Matthew Alefounder, late of Weeleigh in the County of Essex deceased, to administer the Goods &c of the said Matthew deceased with the said Will annexed and according to the Tenor and Effect therof (the abovesaid Thomas Alefounder the Executor and principal Legatee dying before he had proved the said Will) she first solemnly and sincerely declaring and affirming according to the Statute in that Behalf made and provided well and faithfully to admr. the same.
