G earldine and brother, Keith, grew up in the family home on Robbie Street in the Stude addition of Houston. She attended Reagan High School as a sophomore in 1933 1.
Geraldine met William R. "Billy" Phillips from Galveston, sometime in the late 1930s. They were married 15 June 1940 in Houston. William worked for Humble Oil & Refining Company, later known as Exxon. The lived for a time in Tyler, Texas, but spent most of their life in Houston. Their son James said, "they had [ten]10 grandchildren and [six] 6 great grandchildren. Geraldine was a talented artist. She did seem to be psychic. He [Billy] was educated as a lawyer and worked as a landman for 40 years with Humble/Exxon. He was a very talented golfer headed for the tour before wife and babies."
