Warwick Castle
August 3rd
Today we left the Travelodge near Luton for our drive to Manchester and our flight home. We drove to Warwick after a detour back to the hotel to rescue Heather's stuffed animal, salad bear, who we accidently dropped in the parking lot. This cost us about an hour of travel time. We also took a detour since just as we had turned around on the Motorway, an accident happened in the north bound lane. The castle was very interesting especially the wax figures, the towers, the dungeon, and the medieval crafts. Warwick Castle is one of the best examples of castles in England and is in great repair. After Warwick, we drove to my dad's cousin Ivy's for a nice dinner and good conversation. They live a suburb of Manchester called Cheadle Hulme. This was the first time that I remember meeting them as we didn't see my Dad's side of family much during our trips to England when I was younger. We stayed at the Holiday Inn at Manchester Airport. This hotel was very close to an American type hotel; two double beds. It even had air conditioning. We didn't need it though. The hotel was only a stones throw from the airport.
