Our Airplane - United Airlines

August 4th

We arrived at Manchester airport about 6:45 a.m.. The big crisis was returning the rental car. None of the rental counters were open at this time in morning. I didn't know where to return the rental agreement or the keys. After checking in, I went looking for somewhere to drop the keys off. It took about 30 minutes and 1-2 miles of walking to finally get rid of them in a slot. Everyone was worried about where I had disappeared to and they were very glad to see me. I was extremely irritated and tired. But we did make the flight. We had our English breakfast on the flight to London. Then we retraced our steps back to United Airlines. We had about a 2 hour wait before our flight was to board. So we spent the rest of our English money, tried to rest, and had some very good french bread. The flight back was uneventful. We then took a taxi from Dulles Airport to Walt's house, got the car, and then after a 3 ½ hour drive arrived back in Covington. The pets were very glad to see us and we were glad to see them.  We had a wonderful vacation and I hope you enjoyed reading about it.
