I am seeking medical information about my birth parents and their relatives. I
have been ill now for 16 months and the doctors still don't have a clue as to
what is wrong with me. It appears my immune system has a problem and is unable
to fight off an infection. I nearly died from a severe case of pneumonia in
February 2003.
I have two children, a girl 7 and a boy 5. My son is
severely autistic and I exhibit some mild symptoms also. I need to know if any
chronic illnesses or mental problems run in my family. I owe it to my daughter
to find any information I can also. At some point in her life I'm sure she will
have to make a decision whether to have children or not.
I would like to
know about my parents, but I totally respect their privacy. My first and
foremost priority is to get medical information. It is fine if they wish to
remain anonymous. I understand the circumstances they were under and have no
ill will against either. As a matter of fact, I am very grateful to my mother
for placing me with a loving family as she was too young to care for
me.

I was born on May 10, 1962, at
Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City.
My mother was 14 at the time. She
is now either 55 or 56. Here is a description of her at the time of my

My father was 17 at the time. He would now be 58 or
