I found the Death Certificate for Patrick Doody the son. It shows him born in 1861. His headstone shows 1862. So, its possible the 1860 census with no children is correct. One concern I still have is that the death certificate shows born in Susquehanna, PA. That is pretty far north of Philadelphia. I know they moved a lot, but if seems odd they would go from New York to Philadelphia. Then north again to Susquehanna before moving to St Louis.
1860 census shows married within the year. A marriage record I found shows them married 1851 in London. One of these records is incorrect.
