     Honora Shannahan was born on 15 November 1829 Parish of Abbey Dorney, County Kerry, Ireland.5,6 She was the daughter of John Shannahan and Ella Shannahan.3 Other sources show Honora Shannahan was born on 13 November 1831 in Ireland.3,2 Other sources show Honora Shannahan was born on 16 November 1829.7 Other sources show Honora Shannahan was born in January 1824.8
     Patrick John Doody married Honora Shannahan, daughter of John Shannahan and Ella Shannahan, London, United Kingdom, in 1851.5,6

She was able to read and write. She was married within the year.10 1870 census shows children aged 11 and 12 so children should be on 1860 census.

I found the Death Certificate for Patrick Doody the son. It shows him born in 1861. His headstone shows 1862. So, its possible the 1860 census with no children is correct. One concern I still have is that the death certificate shows born in Susquehanna, PA. That is pretty far north of Philadelphia. I know they moved a lot, but if seems odd they would go from New York to Philadelphia. Then north again to Susquehanna before moving to St Louis.

1860 census shows married within the year. A marriage record I found shows them married 1851 in London. One of these records is incorrect.
     Hannah Doody was listed on the 1860 US Federal Census 2nd Ward, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, USA, enumerated 11 July 1860 living with Patrick John Doody.10

She was shown as born in Ireland. Her father was born in Ireland. Her mother was born in Ireland. She was married. Her occupation was housekeeping. She is able to read. She is able to write.12 In Patrick Reidy's will dated 20 November 1894 in Moniteau County, Missouri, USA, Honora Shannahan was named as an heir.13

Also living in the house were, her son, David A, and her daughter, Ellen. Her birth date was listed as January 1824, age 76. She was born in Ireland. She was widowed She is the mother of 7 children. 4 children are still living. Her father was born in Ireland. Her mother was born in Ireland.8 She immigrated to the US in 1864 and had been in the US for 36 years. She was unable to read, unable to write, and able to speak English.8 She owned the property, it was mortgaged. . She lived on a farm and is on the 23 farm schedule.8
     They resided near the Fairgrounds, California, Moniteau County, Missouri, USA, between 1907 and 1915.5,6           Honora Reidy was listed as the head of household on the 1910 US Federal Census of Walker Township, Moniteau County, Missouri, at California City, enumerated 20 April 1910. Also living in the house was, her son, David A Reidy. Her age at her last birth date was listed as 78. She was born in Ireland. She was widowed. Her father was born in Ireland. Her mother was born in Ireland. She was the mother of 4 children, 3 are still living.15 She spoke English.15 She was able to read. She was able to write.      Honora died on 8 December 1915 in California, Moniteau County, Missouri, USA, at age 86. The cause of death was dialation of the heart. Pat Doody provided the information on the death certificate.3,7,6

Mrs. Reidy Dead
     Mrs. Honorah Reidy died at her home in this city Wednesday afternoon, aged 86 years, and 23 days, wife of the late Patrick Reidy.
     Mrs. Reidy was a consistent member of the Catholic church and a resident of the county for about 60 years originally coming from Ireland. She was an excellent woman, highly esteemed by all who had the privilege of her acquaintance. Mrs M. Kiely is a daughter and former City Marshal Dave Reidy a son of the deceased. The latter made his home with his mother. Funeral services were held at Annunciation church Friday morning, at 9 o'clock.

     Mrs. Honorah Reidy, who has been making home with her son, died last night at the advanced age of 86 years, having been born in Ireland, November 15th, 1829. The funeral services will be held at the Catholic church Friday morning at nine o'clock.17

     Mrs. Honorah Reidy, widow of Patrick Reidy. died at the home of her son D. A Reidy, near the Fairgrounds, Wednesday December 8, 1915. She was the advanced age of over 86 years. Mrs. Reidy was born in Parish of Abbeydorney County Kerry, Ireland, November 15,1829. She was married to John Doody in London, in 1851. Two years later they came to America and located in Syracuse, N. Y., where they lived until 1851, when they moved to St. Louis, here they lived until 1866 when her husband was drowned. This same year she was married to Patrick Reidy and moved to the old home place six miles east of California, where she lived until about 8 years ago, when she moved to this city and made her home with her son David Reidy until her death.
     She was the mother of eight children only three of whom survive; Mrs. M. Kiely, David Reidy and P. Doody.
     She was a member of the California Catholic church and the funeral services were conducted by Ft. Tiernan, Friday morning. Burial at the church cemetery.5
