     Karl died on 1 November 1914 at Deaconess Home, Township of Pigeon, Evansville, Indiana, USA, at age 74. The cause of death was angina pectoris. Lina Braun provided the information on the death certificate.10,2

City's Oldest Organist Dead
Prof. Carl Braun, 74, died at the Deaconess hospital Sunday morning of angina pectoris. He had been in failing health for some time but his condition was not considered serious. Braun was one of the city's oldest teaches of music, having been a resident of Evansvville since 1881. For six years he was organist at St. John's church and organist at Zion's church for 10 years. He leaves six children.

Funeral services will be ehld a the home of J. L. Knauss, a brother-in-law, Tuesdayy afternoon at t1:30 and at Zion's church at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.11

Karl Philip Braun was buried on 3 November 1914 in the Oak Hill Cemetery located in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana, USA. Karl is buried in Section 31, Lot 24, Grave 9.10

Evansville, Indi., Nov. 2 -- Carl Braun, aged 74 years, one of the city's best-known music teachers, died here to-day after a short illness. He was born in Germany and coming to America located in Lousivlle, Ky., where he lived for many years, coming her from Louisville. He had been organist at several of the German churches here for several years. He is survived by six children.12
