DAVID REIDY

David Reidy, of 4307 North A St., died yesterday morning at his home. He was 87. A native of California, Mo., he has been a resident of Tampa for nine years. Mr. Reidy was manager of the city tourist park of Boise, Idaho, for 20 years. He retired in 1945 and moved to Tampa. Besides his wife, Mrs. Rhea C. Reidy, Tampa, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Floyd Herrell, Berger, Mo., and two grandchildren.24

     Dorothy was issued a special certificate of birth on March 23, 1959. This is the official certificate (MO #195574) on record in Jefferson City, Missouri. It indicates that the supporting documents used were her daughter, Sara Sue Herrell's, birth certificate (MO #42272), her Missouri driver's license (#242225), and an affidavit from her uncle H.G. Howard dated February 7, 1951.

Dorothy's paternal grandparents came from Ireland and died at dates unknown to Dorothy. They are buried in Tampa, Florida.

Dorothy died at 3:25pm on September 14, 1969 at Missouri Pacific Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Services were held at 1:30pm on September 17, 1969 at McLaughlin Mortuary in St. Louis, Missouri. She is buried in New St. Marcus Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. Services were conducted by the Rev. Dr. Howard C. Walton of the Oak Hill Presbyterian Church. Her grave sight is the southeast corner of Block 29, lot 274, grave 6. Pallbearers were Bill Behan, Harold Frerking, Charles Webb, Michael Herrell, Walter Schnurr, and Palmer Schloman.

     Dorothy spent her final days in Missouri Pacific Hosptial. Her daughter Sue had been there for days sitting with her. Sue stepped out of the room for a break and Bill Herrell sat with Dorothy. It was while he was with her that she passed away.28
     Dorothy died on 14 September 1969 at Missouri Pacific Hospital, St Louis, Independent City, Missouri, USA, at age 53. The cause of death was carcinoma of overy.
