"Funeral Services For Frank J. Lastovica of Houston Held Here"


Funeral services for Frank J. Lastovica of 6110 Schuler St., Houston were held from the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church here at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 20, with Rev. Bernard Snock of Saint Mary's Catholic Church of Frydek and Rev. Alois Pavlicek of Austin officiating. Burial was in the Frydek Cemetery under the directions of the Etlinger Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Bernie Milligan, Bennie Ondruch, Milton Ermis, Jerry Lastovica, John Lastovica and John C. Bergeron. Born in Fayetteville, September 13, 1898 he was reared in Fayetteville and the Sealy Community and was educated in Fayetteville and Sealy. His first marriage was to Miss Annie Jez, she passed away September 22, 1928.

His second marriage was to Miss Frances Pavlicek, January 21, 1931 in Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek. He was a carpenter by trade and had lived in Houston since 1941. He was a member of Saint Theresa Catholic Church of Houston.

Survivors are his wife Mrs. Frances Lastovica of Houston, two daughters, Mrs. Allen Bergeron of Houston and Mrs. Duane McLean "U.S. Army" Izmir Turkey; two sons Joseph Lastovica and Henry Lastovica both of Houston; two brothers John of Highlands and William of Frydek; fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Mr. Lastovica passed away at his residence in Houston at 3:00 a.m., Sunday, September 17, following an illness since April of this year. He attained the age of 74 years and 4 days.
