" Funeral Services for Willie Lastovica of Frydek Held December 4"


Funeral services for Willie Lastovica of Frydek were held from Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek at 10:00 a.m., Monday December 4 with Rev. Bernard Snock conducting the last rites. Interment was in the church cemetery. Etlinger Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Jerry and Joe Lastovica, Ed Schoppa, Daniel Pancik, Edward Sula, James Sula and Lad Klimicek. His carpenter co-workers were considered honorary pallbearers.

Born in Fayetteville on June 8, 1906 he was reared there and attended the Sealy and Mixville Public Schools. He was engaged in farming and carpentering. On September 30, 1930 he was united in marriage to Miss Annie Sula of Fayetteville. He was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church of Frydek.

Mr. Lastovica passed away at 5:45 a.m., Saturday, December 2, in a Houston Hospital at the age of 66 years, 5 months and 24 days following an illness of the past year.

Survivors besides his wife are three sons, John J. of Houston, Leonard W. of Kokomo, Indiana, and Raymond C. of Frydek; one brother John M. Lastovica of Crosby and seven grandchildren.

Passing on before him were his parents, three brothers, Frank, Louis and Rudolph.

Parish Rosary was recited, Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
