Gladys
Jennette Scarborough, 87, of Avon, NC.,
died
Sunday, February 27, 1994, at
her residence.
Mrs.
Scarborough, a native of Buxton, NC.,
was
a homemaker and
a member of the Avon Methodist
Church.
She was the
daughter of the late
Devaney
Farrow Jennette
and Ella Gray Jennette
and
the widow of James
Washington Scarborough.
Mrs.
Scarborough is survived by
1 son:
Kenneth
Dickerson of Avon, NC.
1
daughter:
Ella Nora Williams of
Elizabeth City, NC.
And
a brother, Carl Ross Jennette of Amagansett, NY.
A
church service will be held on Thursday, March 3,
1994,
in
the Saint John's United Methodist Church, Avon,
at
11:00 am by
the Rev. Berry Taylor. Burial will follow
in
the Jennette Family Cemetery, Buxton.
The body will be
placed
in the church on Thursday at 10:00 am.
Twiford's
Colony Chapel, Manteo, is in charge
of
the arrangements.
