Notes for John BIGGE
Some put his father as Robert Bigge, whose 1548 will names his son John, but that would make John at least 60 when his daughter Elizabeth was born. There was also a James Bigge who had a son John, and a Richard m. Ann around the same time period.
Notes for Rachel MARTIN
Her will ties her to son-in-law John Stow, as well as Thankful, Elizabeth and Nathaniel Stow, and son-in-law Hopestill Foster. Her son’s will, which further solidified these connections, is discussed in NEHGR 29:253.

Savage’s: One Rachell Bigge. a wid. came in the Elizabeth, 1635, from London, liv. at Dorchester, wh. in her will of 17 Nov. 1646, calls her s. aged, names Hopestill Foster her neph. and he, I judge, was a fellow passeng. and to him she gives her prop. In the rec. at the custom ho. a curious error may be seen, as print. by me in 3 Mass. Hist. Coll. VIII. 261, careful. tak. at her Majesty's Remembrancer Office, formerly in Westminster Hall, since rem. to Carlton Ride, giv. her age 6.
