Notes for Samuel BARBER
His will names wife Ruth, then son John, still under 21; deceased son William (grandson William gets 8 acres); son David; son Joseph at Scotland; ; son Benjamin; daughters Elizabeth, Sarah and Mindwell, to be given £25 when they turn 18 (odd, since Elizabeth's Windsor birth record gives her birth as 1684), to match their two married sisters, later named as Mary and Ruth. Son-in-law William Phelps and wife Ruth are executors.
His daughter Mindwell's will distributes her estate to her siblings, named in the file as Samuel, William, David, Joseph, Benjamin and John; Daniel Loomis and wife Elizabeth, Peter Brown and wife Mary, William Phelps and wife Ruth, and Sarah Barber.
Savage's: SAMUEL, Windsor, s. of Thomas, by first w. Mary had Thomas, b. 7 Oct. 1671; Samuel, 26 Jan. 1674; and by sec. w. Notes for Ruth DRAKE
Her will makes up the deficits in her husband's bequests to John, Sarah and Benjamin. She releases Joseph of the obligations from Samuel's will. She bequeaths remaining shares to Mary Brown, Elizabeth Loomis, Ruth Phelps and Sarah Barber. [577]
