- 3 Feb 1656/1657 a complaint was made at the Court of Assistants of Plymouth Colony against Sarah, the daughter of Richard Kirby, and her sister Jane for "disturbance by them made in the publicke worship of God on the Lords day att Sandwidge, by opposing the speaker amongst them." They were both sentenced to be whipped, but the sentence of Jane was suspended and she was given a warning to offend no more. [1002]
