Notes for Capt. John LUTHER
Original proprietor of Taunton, where he had 90 acres. He was master of a sailing ship belonging to some Boston merchants and trading with New Jersey, Delaware and Co. The ship was attacked by Indians and John was killed. His son Samuel escaped. (Abell Family History, 1940)
