Notes for John MORROW
Fought in War of 1812, including battle of Horse Shoe Bend. Kids got land in Green Co, MO for service. Married 3 times, but only a few of the younger kids seem to have gone west. They were young when he died, as they were raised by their uncle Robert in Missouri. When Robert died, his children went to live with his oldest son William in Buffalo, Dallas Co, MO, so John's children may have followed.[ [1008]]

YDNA testing in 2003-04 shows that descendants of Napoleon match DNA with descendants of John’s brother Hugh (a line where census records are more clearly traceable). However, neither matches others thought to be descended from Rev. David Morrow’s puported brothers and cousins. Either they are not his relatives, or Robert is not David’s son.

May also have had children named Cicero and Florence, but no record of them has been found.[ [2]]

His will names only children Robert and Mary, but also had a general reference to “his children” when he otherwise just refers to Robert and Mary, who would have been his youngest and the only ones not going/having gone to live with John’s brother. Hugh James, born about 1836, may not have made an appearance yet (the record that is likely his in 1900 lists his birth as April 1836). The wife’s name is illegible, and most likely just says “Morrow”.
