Notes for Willaim SWAIN
Bequeathed a heifer by his wife’s first husband John Miller and also witnessed the will. He was named overseer of the will of his “cosen” (may have been brother) John Swain in 1573. Another John Swain appointed his “friend” William as overseer in 1601.

William’s will names only his one son William (he was 40 when he married, so he might have been only child) and then names William’s children precisely in birth order. [608]
Notes for Joan Dee [Miller]
First husband’s will names children Richard, Thoams, John, Margaret and Elizabeth. [608]
