Notes for Richard Swan
He gave his age as 68 in a March 1675 deposition and 70 in a May 1677 deposition.

He was admitted to the First Church of Boston in Jan 1638/9. Later that year, he was dismissed to the Church at Rowley.

The will of Richard Swan of Rowley in County Essex New England dated 25 April 1678, proved Ipswich court 23 May 1678. It bequeaths to wife Ann Swan according to marriage contract; son Robert Swan, son-in-law Joseph Boynton & Sarah his wife; three children of my son-in-law and daughter Stickney Elizabeth, Samuel and Sarah (daughter Julian had married Samuel Stickney and died before her father); Grandchild Richard Sutton; Grandchild Richard Swan, son of Robert Swan; four daughters: Jane Wilson, Frances Quilter, Dorothy Chapman and Mercy Warner. Joseph Boynton executor. Inventory was taken 22 May 1678, presented 23 May 1678 totaled £352 for lands, total estate £486. (Essex Probate Docket, researched by Glen Swartz)
