ESCAPED PRISONER CAPTURED

HUNTINGTON, Ind., Oct. 27—George Werner, who broke jail with James Renbarger last Saturday in broad daylight, was captured here yesterday evening.  He had been a “trusty” in the county jail, where he was serving 450 days for assaulting Policeman Davidson.  The men were traced to Wabash, Peru and Logansport by Sheriff Wintrode and then to other places.  Wednesday Wintrode received a message calling him to Logansport, where he found that the police had Renbarger located.  A posse of twelve officers captured him while he was in bed.  Renbarger told Wintrode that Werner was in Huntington.  The sheriff returned and captured Werner at the home of his sweetheart, a girl named Carpenter.
