Ancestors of Alan Roy Amyot

I am descended from Mathieu Amiot dit ou sieur de Villeneuve, one of the original seigneurs of New France. The Amyot surname was orginally spelled 'Amiot' and has other variations such as Amyotte and Amelotte. It was common to interchange the 'dit' names with the surname, hence, some of his ancestors are known as Villeneuve.
