Our earliest information comes from another Curl researcher, Stan Staniforth. We have not yet been able to verify all of it. We have listed some of our sources on the left side of this page as well as some links pertaining to this branch of our family.
JEREMIAH CURL Descendants of Jeremiah Curl Source: Stan Staniforth		Tim's 7th great-grandfather, JEREMIAH CURL, was born in 1734 in Blisland Parish, New Kent County, Virginia. He married MARY MCCREARY in 1753 in New Market, Shenandoah County, Virginia. They had at least five children. His death date and place are unknown.
WILLIAM W CURL		Tim's 6th great-grandfather, WILLIAM W CURL, was born in September 7, 1754 in Blisland Parish, New Kent County, Virginia. He married SARAH BROWN on March 1, 1776 in Hampshire County, Virginia (now West Virginia). They had at least 11 children. He died January 19, 1841 in Degraff, Logan County, Ohio, USA. He is buried there in Olive Chapel Cemetery.

THOMAS CURL Source: Stan Staniforth		Tim's 5th great-grandfather, THOMAS CURL , was born May 16, 1785 in Hampshire County, Virginia (now West Virginia), USA. He married MARY POLLY FARIS September 25, 1806 in Watten County (probably Warren County), Ohio, USA. They had at least four children. He died July 5, 1853 in Goshen Township, Champaign County, Ohio, USA.
JEREMIAH BALL CURL 1860 Census - Paris, Edgar Co, IL 1870 Census - Paris, Edgar Co, IL		Tim's 4th great-grandfather, JEREMIAH BALL CURL , was born October 4, 1814 in Ohio, USA. He married SARAH P WILSON June 11, 1835. They had at least ten children. Jeremiah was a physician. He died in November 1874 and is buried at Edgar Cemetery, Paris, Edgar County, Illinois, USA.
CHARLES WESTLY CURL 1860 Census - Paris, Edgar Co, IL 1870 Census - Buck Twp, Edgar Co, IL 1880 Census - Buck Twp, Edgar Co, IL 1900 Census - Buck Twp, Edgar Co, IL		Tim's 3rd great-grandfather, CHARLES WESTLY CURL , was born May 2, 1845 in Maryville, Union County, Ohio, USA. He married MARY E COUGHANOUER in May 1866 in Edgar County, Illinois, USA. They had at least three children. Charles was a farmer. He died June 20, 1916 in Buck Township, Edgar County, Illinois, USA and is buried there in Edgar Cemetery.

He married DOROTHY ELLEN MATTINGLY January 1, 1899 in Edgar County, Illinois, USA. They had at least ten children. Jeremiah was a farmer. He died November 22, 1930 and is buried at St Mary's Cemetery in Paris, Edgar County, Illinois, USA.
FLORENCE MARIE CURL Joseph and Florence (Curl) Sudduth 1900 Census - Buck Twp, Edgar Co, IL 1910 Census - Denison Twp, Lawrence Co, IL		Tim's great-grandmother, FLORENCE MARIE CURL , was born February 8, 1890 in Illinois, USA. She married JOSEPH BERNARD SUDDUTH February 10, 1909. They had at least four children, two of whom are still living. She died January 15, 1958 and is buried at St Mary's Cemetery in Paris, Edgar County, Illinois, USA.
