    Simon Lantz, son of Henry and Christiana (Follmer)
Lantz was born in Northumberland County, Pa., Sept. 21,
1814.  He was educated in the subscription schools and fol-
lowed farming all his life.  He was married in Nov. 1843 to
Harriet, daughter of Griggs Marsh.  Mr. Lantz remained
on his farm until the spring of 1889 when he moved to
Watsontown to spend the remainder of his life in retire-
ment.  He was a consistent member of the Reformed Church
of Watsontown up to his death, Jan. 10, 1890.  His*idow
also belongs to this denomination.  Their descendents are:

   1. S. Kate, born Nov. 25, 1844, died Nov. 25, 1923, mar-
      ried George W. Rombach 1864;
        1. Hattie W., born Sept. 10, 1866, unmarried;
        2. Dela G., born Jan. 22, 1873, married Mary Timber-
           lake, Haverford, Pa.;
