    John D. Lantz, son of George and Christina (Maphis)
Lantz was born Dec. 10, 1818 in Shenandoah County, Va.
Oct. 17, 1844, he married Ella F. Koontz.  He died Jan. 29,
1845.  The widow afterwards married Dr. Irwin.
