                THE FAMILY OF LINDSEY STEPHENS

    Lindsey Stephens, son of Brazil and Margaret (Lantz)
Stephens was born June 23, 1836.  He married Margaret
Fordyce, who was born Dec. 30, 1843 and died Oct. 27, 1863.
They were married Sept. 26, 1861.  Feb. 23, 1865, he married
Elizabeth Hatfield, who was born Sept. 4, 1846.  He had
one child by his first wife and seven by second.  The children:

   1. Amanda;
   2. John;
   3. James;
   4. Harvey;
   5. Nora;
   6. Lafayette;
   7. Ida;
   8. Salina.

   He was a farmer and owned 975 acres of land.  He was a
member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.

                 THE FAMILY OF MARIA HUGHES

    Maria, daughter of Jacob and Cassandra (South) Lantz
was born May 25, 1837 and died Sept. 26, 1886.  She married
Hughes and lived at Willow Tree, Pa.  She had two children:
    
   1. Thimas;
   2. James.

                 THE FAMILY OF BENJAMIN LANTZ

    Benjamin Lantz, son of Jacob and Cassandra (South)
Lantz was born May 20, 1839 and died May 12, 1902.  Mar-
ried Kate.  He had children:

   1. Nellie, married Howard, Mapletown, Pa.;
   2. Others whose names are not known.

    John Lantz, son of Jacob and Cassandra (South) Lantz
was born in 1840 and died May 8, 1882.  He married Susan
White.  He lived in Worth County, Mo.  His descendents are:
