HANS PETER LANTZ The Lantzs of Hunterdon County, N. J. Hans Peter Lantz was born in Germany in 1708. On Oct. 28, 1738, he came to America in a small coasting vessel "Thistle" with his brothers Jacob and Michal, and his sons John Niclaus, and John Peter. He settled in German Valley, N. J. He had children: John Niclaus; John Peter; and John. El John Niclaus Lantz E John Niclaus Lantz was born in Germany in 1730 and came to America at the age of 8 years with his father. He settled in German Valley and had at least one child, John. E2 John Lantz E John Lantz was born in Germany and came to America with his father at a very early age. He died on his farm in Lebanon Township, Hunterdon County, N. J. about 1771. He married Anna Margaret. Their children: John Peter; William; Harman; Peter; Anthony; and Mary Magdalene. E3 John Peter Lantz E John Peter Lantz was born in Germany in 1736 and came to America with his father at the age of two years. He had at least three sons: Herbert; John, married Widow Jost, died in Pa.; and Peter. E11 John Lance E1 John Lance, son of John Niclaus Lantz lived in Lebanon Township, N. J. He married Dina and had children: Mar- garet, born May 3, 1771; John William, born June 12, 1773; Rachel, born Jan. 5, 1780; and John, born May 25, 1782. E21 John Peter Lance E2 John Peter Lance, son of John and Anna Margaret Lantz married Catherine Henn. They had the following children: John Hermet Lance, born July 30, 1775; Maria, born May 3, 1777; Wilhelm, see family of William Lance, (E213) ; Catherine, born Feb. 22, 1781; Anna, born Oct. 24, 1783; and Jacob, see family of Jacob Lance (E216). 39
