Ponchetta Mora Millen Lewis

Ponchetta (*8/9/1908 - 7/28/1955), age 46
Born in Ogden, Utah, died in Fort Scott, Kansas and is interred in Greenwood
Cemetery. She attended Jefferson High School in Los Angeles and could
speak French. 'Pon' married Dr. James Tyree Lewis in 1929?

*In a 1924 deposition, Ponchetta stated her birthdate as 8/9/1908.
Marriage certificate states her birthdate as 8/9/1910.

James Tyree Lewis (1/8/1900 - 7/29/1975), age 79
Born in Monticello, Arkansas, died in San Bernardino, California and is
interred in the Greenwood Cemetery in Fort Scott.
Parents: Charles Henry Lewis, a Methodist minister and Elvira Jane Smith.
The Lewises' migrated to Omaha, Nebraska. James moved to California
after he retired.

2. Charles David Lewis Sr. (12/14/1932 - 10/12/2001), age 68
Born in Fort Scott, Kansas, died in San Bernardino, California.
He was one of the first to break the color barrier at Pittsburgh State
College-Kansas, receiving the All-Time Letterman 1953-54.

Charles, also known as coach "Chuck" was a Jr. High Physical Education
instructor and head football coach at San Bernardino High School in the
1970's. He was also a referee and umpire. Coach Chuck was a mentor to
many teenagers who were void of a father figure.

     2. Charles David Lewis Jr. (6/23/1963 - 3/11/2009), age 45
Born in San Bernardino. Charles aka "Mask" was a businessman, promotor
and entertainer. Charles and his friend Dan "Punkass" Caldwell founded the apparel company, "TapouT." Friend Tim "Skyskrape" Katz later joined the company. By 2008, TapouT was a multi-million dollar company. Before TapouT,
Charles served in the Marine Corp. and was a Deputy Sheriff.

Charles' life was cut short when he was killed in a motor vehicle accident in
2009. On Dec. 8, 2010, Jeffrey David Kirby was found guilty of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence while intoxicated. Jeffrey David Kirby
was sentenced to only 9 years for his repeated flagrant disregard for human life.
