Cayce Man Is Fatally Injured in Gravel Slide

FULTON, KY, Oct 3 (Special) Morris Graham, 32, a resident of Cayce, was fatally injured when the side of a gravel pit caved on top of a power shovel he was operating here at 8:30 a.m. today.

Graham, an employee of the State Highway Department, was taken to the Obion County General Hospital at Union City, Tenn. He died shortly after being admitted and less than an hour after the accident.

Witnessess said Graham was sitting in his shovel at the foot of a gravel bank in the pit when the gravel began to slide.

His father, John Graham, Cayce, is also employed by the State Highway Department.

His survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Graham; two brothers, John Graham, Jr. and Claude Graham, both of Detroit; and a sister, Mrs. William Halteman, Clinton.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete pending the arrival of relatives. The body is at the Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton.
