John Nicholas CRISSELL

General Notes:
John became a Roman Catholic priest, being ordained on 18th July 1949 in Rome. He was a curate in Huddersfield before in 1962 becoming a curate at St Mary Magdaline, Maltby near Rotherham, the village where he was born. He was tragically killed, aged 40, in a road accident when the car he was a passenger in collided wirth a road scrapper being used for road improvements between Aberford and Wetherby. He and the driver Fr James Belton were on their way to meeting in Harrogate.
