  General Notes:

Napier was given an uncommon first name, but Napier was his grandmother's maiden name and he also had an uncle named Napier Fairbairn (b.1771). Napier Hutton was born in Canongate, Edinburgh, moved to South Leith and returned to Canongate in later life to live with his daughter Euphemia and family, including his Grandson Napier Anthony. In census returns he is described as a Labourer.
