Alex, his wife and their two children emigrated to Canada and settled in the Elmvale area of Ontario. Alex was a past president and longtime member of the Elmvale Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. He also had a love of painting and fishing. He died in the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in his 82nd year.
