Margaret Mary ILLINGWORTH
Peggy was the daughter of William Illingworth and Margaret (nee King) who are both buried in Abbey Lane Cemetery. Peggy was born at 27 Clough Road, Rotherham and lived in Rotherham before moving to 340 Fulwood Road whilst a child. She went to Notre Dame school, Fulwood, Sheffield and trained to be a teacher at Mount Pleasant College, Liverpool. Peggy and Kevin got engaged on a rambling holiday in Austria and 321 Crookesmoor Road became the family home where they lived with Kevin's mother until she died in 1965.
