I am currently trying to identify the father of Stephen Valentine. I believe the family to be:

1) The Valentine family of Saratoga, New York. I have been told the descendency chart is as follows, but have no actual documentation at the present time:

Abraham Conklin Voluntine ~ B 1761 ~ D 7/16/1817 in Malta, Saratoga, NY
married before 1790 to
Jane Hooper (daughter of Stephen & Hannah Hooper)

Children of Abraham and Jane were:

Eliza Voluntine (m John Vernam)
Hannah Voluntine (m Jacob Hulin)
Jane Voluntine (m Davenport Morey)
John Voluntine (m Lydia)
Martha (Peggy) Voluntine (B 10/7/1798 ~ D 3/11/1853 m John Bice Turner)
Phebe Voluntine (B 10/7/1798 ~ D 12/10/1861 m Joshua Palmerton ca 1818)
Stephen Voluntine (m Martha Clark; lived in Michigan)
Van Schoonhoven Voluntine (B ca 1803 ~ D 5/29/1817)

Stephen (born 1803) may be the son of either John and Lydia or Stephen and Martha.
