I believe the original BRADNEY family as we know it came from somewhere around Moion near
St Lo in Normandy to the UK at the time of the Battle of Hastings.  They fought for the Duke of Normandy at that battle.

Some of the descendants from these UK families emigrated to America and one of them was sent there as a convict.

Then there were some who were sent to Australia courtesey of the Crown whilst others emigrated there of their own accord.

Some also travelled to New Zealand

The de Gruchys originated in France then in the 19th Century they began settling in The Gaspe and other areas of Canada, America and Australia.
