Anthony and Emma Jane (Jane) Greenaway were married in Sep 1879 in Islington

is however appearing to be bigamously. Richard's first wife Ann Assiter is still
very much alive and living on and off with her mother and her children and their
familes.
We can only assume that Richard was not well off enough to be able to get a divorce,
and took the easy option of a 'poor mans divorce' , bigamy!
After a lot of searching and reading up on 19th century divorce and bigamy cases,
it was the easy option to just disappear for 7 or so years and then remarry,
it was only bigamy if you got found out! Which it appears in Richard's case,
he didn't! They appeared in the census in 1881 in 6 Roxby place Fulham.
