This is a photo of my grandparents; William Nelson Collins and Gypsy Ann Farmer Collins. He is holding their first 2 children; Malcolm Hobart and Levisa.

William Nelson was born in 1891, Floyd County, Kentucky, the son of William Sherman Collins and Louisa Bowlin(g) Collins. He died in 1975, Prestonsburg, Floyd County, Kentucky.

Although they were my grandparents, I spent the better part of my young years in their home. If you read the �About Me� page, then you will recognize William Nelson as �Daddy�. He was the person whom I thought �hung the moon�. �walked on water�... , and all the other things a superhuman could do. He was a gentle man, loved by all who knew him. He was �Papaw� to many grandchildren and great grandchildren..and countless neighbor children. �Uncle Nelse� to most friends and neighbors.

Memories of �Daddy� are still vivid . He loved his family, the �Good Book�, his church, and the mountains.

Gypsy Ann Farmer Collins was born in 1899, Pike County, Kentucky, the daughter of James M. Farmer and Mary Frances Dye Farmer. She died in 1978, Prestonsburg, Floyd County, Kentucky. She was a wonderful mother, very strict, and tried to keep all the children on the �straight & narrow�. She had 13 children, and she and Daddy were married for over 60 years.

They are buried at the Richmond Cemetery in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
