AF says Scarborough, Cumberland, ME Andrew died 14 Mar 1722 in Arundel, York, ME, at 30 years of age.(149) age 31; gravestone His body was interred aft 14 Mar 1722 Kennebunkport, York, ME, Arundel Cemetery.(150)

He married Mary Kneeland in Boston, Suffolk, MA, 12 Dec 1718.(151) Andrew and Mary (Kneeland) Brown were married in Boston by Rev. W. Copper and had 9 children (Mary Kneeland is #6393.)

Mary was born 12 Sep 1692. poss b 1698 ??? Mary was the daughter of John Kneeland and Mary Green.

Mary died 7 Jun 1780 in Boston, Suffolk, MA, at 87 years of age.(152) age 88

Andrew and Mary (Kneeland) Brown had nine children. Mary married 2nd John Turner [see Boston Town Records] and had one daughter still at home. Need to check further on the children of Andrew and Mary (Kneeland) Brown.

Abstract from MMF by W.G. Davis, V 1, p 234:

Andrew; bound apprentice to a house carpenter at Boston (Supreme Judicial Court, No. 140,019); m. in Boston Dec. 12, 1718, by Rev. W. Cooper, Mary Kneeland; gravestone still standing in Kennebunkport with inscription "Here lyes Buried ye Body of Mr andrew Brown, who Died March 14th 1722 Aged 31 years"; his brother Allison Brown was appointed administrator May 7, 1722 and went to Boston to see the creditors of the estate, which was valued at 238 pounds (York Probate, No. 1992); before 1754 the widow Mary Brown m. ____Turner and lived in Boston.

Abstract from Scarborough Becomes a Town by Stackpole, pp 54:

Sarah (Smith) Stackpole [dtr of Elizabeth (Brown) and John Stackpole], dep. that her grandmo. d. soon aft. her uncle Allison's birth, and he was suckled by his aunt Libby. The first deputy from Arundel to the General Court, 1723. Intereat. will 29 Mar 1728. M. Hannah Scammon (Humphrey), who mar. 2d by 28 Mar 1729 John Treworgy, 2 ch.

On June 26, 1728, a church was organized in town with the following enrolled on the church record: John Pugsley, William Tompson, Andrew Brown, Roger Dearing, Thomas Starbird, Nathaniel Winslow, Arthur Bragdon, Daniel Goff, John Harmon, James Smith, Henry Boothby, John Darling, William Duly, Paul Thompson, David Sawyer, David Ring." Is the Andrew Brown abovementioned one of my Andrew Browns? This needs to be investigated further. Dates do not seem to match.

Andrew Brown and Mary Kneeland had the following child:

child 68 i. Mary4 Brown (#10113) was born in Boston, Suffolk, MA.(155) mentioned in the will of her uncle, Allison Brown She married Thomas Green in Boston, Suffolk, MA, 11 Oct 1739.(156) by Rev W. Cooper (Thomas Green is #10114.)
