Hannah died 10 Sep 1862 Biddeford, York, ME, at 42 years of age. age 42y 21d Her body was interred aft 10 Sep 1862 Biddeford, York, ME, Greenwood Cemetery.

She married Robert Chapman in Arundel, York, ME, 1 Jun 1837. (Robert Chapman is #45576.) Robert was born 23 Jul 1815 Biddeford, York, ME. Robert was the son of Isaac Chapman and Susannah Rolfe. Robert died 10 Oct 1872 Biddeford, York, ME, at 57 years of age. His body was interred aft 10 Oct 1872 Biddeford, York, ME, Greenwood Cemetery. 1840 census, Factory Island (Saco), ME:

1850 census, Biddeford, ME: 35 years of age; profession, occupation, or trade: none noted. Hannah, 30 years of age; Olive, 12 years of age; Charles, 9 years of age; Francena, 7 years of age; Mary, 4 years of age; and Daniel, 1 year of age.

Died at the age of 57 years, 2 months, 18 days. (His gravestone seems to read that he died at the age of 56 years, 3 months, 13 days. DBR, August 2001)

On the death certificate of his daughter Florence Euginia Chapman Littlefield he is said to have been born in Biddeford. So is his wife Hannah Cousens Crediford Chapman, although this seems to be untrue. On the death certfifcate of his son Charles F. Chapman he is said to have been born in Scarborough, although this also seems to be untrue.

The Biddeford records show that births of the children of both Robert Chapman and his brother Isaac Chapman Jr. were recorded the same day, 17 November 1843.

On the death certificate of her daughter Florence Eugenia Chapman Littlefield she is said to have been born in Biddeford but this seems to be untrue. On the death certificate of her son Charles F. Chapman she is said to have been born in Kennebunk.

Her gravestone says that she died at the age of 42 years 21 days.

The place of death, Lowell, MA, was found in handwritten family papers, probably the work of one of her granddaughters, and has not been confirmed. Was she living with one of her children?
