Sergt. Pascoe was based at Waltham near Grimsby from December 1942. 100
Squadron undertook night bombing raids with Avro Lancasters over Germany
from March 1943. Seven RAF flight crew are buried together in this French
cemetery, presumably shot down.

Commemorated on the Plymouth Naval Memorial
Alfred Pearce was lost at sea when the Glorious, an air craft carrier,
was sunk off Norway by the Scharnhorst and the Gneisenau. Her two escorts
Acasta and Ardent were also lost. Of the crews 1519 were lost, 41 were
saved.
