73 year old Betty J. Hutchcraft of Golden Gate died at 12:40 Thursday morning at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
Surviving are her husband Charles; a daughter, Gloria and husband Larry Michaels of Golden Gate; a son, Charles Maidlow of Wildomar, Colorado; 3 brothers, Eugene Keener of Evansville, and Thomas Keener, Jr. and Lonnie Keener both of Albion; 2 sisters, Wilma Keener and Marilyn Bailey both of Albion; 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Nales Funeral Home in Albion. Burial in Bethel Cemetery in Wayne county. Visitation from 6-8 Saturday evening at the the funeral home.

Mrs. Ada Jane Taylor, 90, Kellyville, died Wednesday at her Route 1 home. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Kellyville Free Holiness Church with the Rev. David Taylor officiating. Burial will be at Sunrise Cemetery, west of Kellyville, under the direction of Owen Funeral Home. She was born February 7, 1897 in Blythedale, Missouri. She moved to Oklahoma in 1902 from Mill Creek, Oklahoma and then to Kellyville area 45 years ago. Mrs. Taylor was a Baptist and attended the Kellyville Free Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by husband Robert in 1948. Survivors include sons Marvin of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Bob of San Miguel, California, and Butch of Bakersfield, California, daughters Juanita Smith of Mesquite, Texas, Margie Banks of Kellyville and Julie Willing of Bristow; brothers Cleo Seymour of Tulsa, and Buck Seymour of Stroud; 16 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren. Ida Ann Bain Myers, 75, died Monday, July 29, 2002 at her home after
mounting a courageous battle against Parkinson's Disease.
She was a native of Greensboro and the daughter of the late Edward Everette Bain, Jr. and Isabel Keener Bain. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Paxton Myers, Sr., who passed away Nov. 25, 2001, and her sister, Betty Bain Poteet. Through her mother she decended from some of the pioneer families of Jackson County; among them being the Keeners, Wilsons, Allisons and Brysons. She was a graduate of Sylva High School and attended Western Carolina University. She and her husband owned and operated the Bryson City Motor Court for many years. Ida had worked with the Swain County School System for several years. She was a former member of the Governor's Beautification Council being appointed by Governor James G. Martin. She was best known as an avid gardener and housekeeper. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Myers is survived by three sons, James Paxton Myers, Jr. and his wife Lawanda French of Cherokee, NC, Joseph Feeldon Myers and his wife Jane Anderson of Tallahassee, FL and Jeffrey Bain Myers and his wife Ginger Parris of Bryson City; one brother, Edward Everette Bain III of Powder Springs; three grandchildren, James Paxton Myers III, Barak Norton Myers and Rayle Ann Myers and four adopted grandchildren, Heather Queen Parker, Jeremy Cochran, Tracy Delinger and Scott Mundy.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 02, 2002 at the Bryson City United Methodist Church of which she was a member with Rev. David Russell, Rev. Steve Phillippi and Ray Kinsland officiating. Burial will be in the Bryson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Thursday, August 1, 2002 at her residence on Main Street, Bryson City.
