Born February 3, 1889, in Missouri, Mrs. Gilbert moved to Western
Oklahoma as a child with her parents in the early 1900's. She
married Hubert Dodson in 1908 at Dempsey. Following the marriage,
the couple lived in Ely, Nevada, moved back to Dempsey Community and
then settled on a 1913 clain in Union County, New Mexico.

The couple moved back to Sayre in 1925 where they owned and operated
the Fourth Street Grocery. They sold the grocery to J.B. Puckett in
1930. Then they owned a downtown Saayre grocery store which he
operated until his death. Following his death she continued to
operate the store for a short time before moving to Doxey to operate
a grocery there. She purvchased the store from Mr. Chppell and sold
it to Edel Post.

Then in 1934 she married Thomas Gilbert in Cheyenne and they
operated stores at Reydon, Dempsey, Delhi, Strong City and Mobeetie,
Texas. Following her retirement she lived with a daughter until her
health failed in 1970. She is a member of the 50th Golden Age Club
and a member of the Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, Mr. Dodson in 1931 and
Mr. Gilbert in 1954; 1 brother, 1 sister, 1 infant daughter and 3
grandchildren.

Survivors are 2 daughters, Mrs. Lee (Willa) Flue of Durham, Mrs.
Jack (Jewell) Peters of Foss; 1 son, G.H. "Bunk" Dodson of Sayre; 1
step-son J.T. Gilbert of La Mirads, California; 3 step-daughters
Ludean Roles of Oregon City, Oregon, Maybelle Lethcoe of portland,
Oregon, Madge Gilbert of Washington; 11 step grandchildren; 10
grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 1
brothers: Homer Parman and Aubrey Parman, both of Reydon.

Rose Chapel Funeral Service was in chage of arrangements.

Homer Parman was born August 13, 1902 in Gentry County, Missouri to Giles and Martha Jane Parman. The family moved to Roger Mills County in1907 and settled in the Dempsey community. He attended school in Dempsey and Elk City, Okla.
On June 5, 1921 he and Daisy Lee Harmon were united in marriage in the Meadowbrook Community of Roger Mills County. He farmed and moved toCheyenne in 1926 where he operated Parman Produce, Feed and Seed. In 1936 they moved to Reydon where Mr. Parman operated the Parman Produceuntil hsi retirement in 1971. He had been a member of the Reydon Methodist Church for a number of years.
Those who preceded him in death were his parents, one son, Glen in 1978, one granddson, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Daisy of the home, two daughters: Irene Beierschmitt of Alva, Okla. and Lora Rae Butler of Separman, Texas; oneson, Carl Richard Parman of Reydon; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, June 13, 1984 at 2:00 p.m.in the Reydon Community Building with A.L. Martin and Garland Spurginofficiating. Interment followed in the Dempsey Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service ofCheyenne.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
